This hotel chain is a reliable choice for reasonable prices, free wifi, and a regular japanese breakfast. If you expect to stay often, joining the club gets you discounts and a free night once you’ve earned enough points.

The hotel comes into view as soon as you leave the rotary at the west exit of Fukushima Station. It’s about a five-minute walk at an easy pace. This Toyoko Inn feels compact, and the tables lined up in front of the entrance look like they’re for breakfast, so I hesitated, wondering if that was really the main entrance. The staff service was neither good nor bad. The hotel seems old overall, and the keys are the old-fashioned push-button kind. The bed was spacious and comfortable, but when I visited the TV reception was poor. They suggested TVer, but that didn’t work either. There’s a convenience store nearby, though the east exit is probably more convenient after all.
