The food seemed a bit more thoughtfully prepared than at the other inns nearby. I was also really pleased with the attentive service, and the place was easy to locate with plenty of parking close to the building.

The hotel itself had very nice facilities, but the parking setup is dangerous. It's gravel, with no painted lines, and the low curb is hidden by grass. I parked in the dark, didn't see it, and drove my car over it. That left me worrying about repairs instead of enjoying what should have been a fun trip, and it ruined the experience. I hope they make the curb easier to spot with poles or a fence, or remove it.

My husband and I had a room with a bed. The chestnut rice and soup were especially good, and the service and the rest of the food were generally nice too. The problem was the awful noise from the next room, which made it hard to sleep. It wasn't a busy day, so I wonder if they might have been able to put us somewhere else.

We had a quiet meal in a private room, and both dinner and breakfast were satisfying in quality and amount. The soundproofing was very good too. There was a thump when the next door opened or shut, but no talking came through, so we slept peacefully. My mother and I stayed here for the first time on Saturday, August 9th. The staff were lovely and friendly. It's just over an hour from home, and the location, price, and our stay have all made me want to come back.
