Guest House Kusunoki

The owner was so kind and accommodating. This was the best hostel or guesthouse I’ve ever stayed at, unbelievably clean, cozy, comfortable, and spacious. I highly recommend it!

The owner shared interesting things about shops in Onomichi and Mukaijima, which made the stay really enjoyable. I’d love to come back in fireplace season. The guesthouse is beautiful and sits beside a pristine river. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, like complimentary chocolates and coffee, plus a down comforter for the chilly nights.

I’d wanted to visit Kusunoki for ages, and finally made it. The view from the inn was beautiful, especially at sunrise and sunset, but two nights still didn’t feel like enough, so I’ll definitely return. Inside, the wood scent was soothing, as if the house itself were saying “Welcome!” The room was so clean, well kept, and comfortable that I wanted to stay in all day. The owner was gentle and had a lovely smile. As we chatted, it felt like we’d been friends forever, lol. I was especially happy to find Shabon Dama shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. I was impressed by the care for the environment and for people with chemical sensitivities. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay! (*´ω｀person)♡ (*^^*)

The owner was friendly and had additive-free shampoo and other thoughtful items available. As a woman traveling alone, I think I’d feel safe staying here. From the moment I walked in, the wood smelled lovely, and the stained glass and natural interior made me feel at ease and like I could stay forever.
