There are restaurants and konbinis close by, and check-in and check-out were easy. I had a really good stay at Leo Capsule. It was very quiet and clean, with plenty of amenities for the basics. The employees were gracious and helpful to me as a foreigner who doesn't speak much Japanese. Just follow the rules and try to keep things quiet and considerate, and people will appreciate having you there.

The room had a strong stinky-feet smell, and there wasn't even an air purifier. This was my first time booking a capsule in Japan, and the experience started terribly. The rest of the staff were fine, but the older female clerk was extremely rude to us as foreigners. My Japanese friend translated her as saying, “THIS PLACE IS ONLY FOR THE JAPANESE.” She also mocked us for not speaking Japanese, saying we shouldn't stay here. That disrespectful attitude made me wonder how she ended up working reception. I used to think Japanese people were nice and friendly, and this one person really damaged that impression. This is based on what happened to me. To the owner or manager, please reconsider keeping this clerk, because I think she will hurt the business's reputation and service. I'll never come back. Also, my Orient watch was stolen or lost here, so guests should keep a close eye on their valuables.
The VIP room door doesn't shut all the way, leaving a sliver of light coming in constantly. If you're a light sleeper, that could keep you up. Apart from that, it's an affordable, very clean capsule hotel. For a little more money you can get a mini-room, and the bathroom area gets cleaned regularly. Toiletries are provided, and there's a sauna to relax in.
My first impression of LEO Capsule Hotel was very good, so I extended my original booking for 16th - 17th September as soon as I arrived. But when I came back the next night, I couldn't check in because the contactless payment options I had weren't accepted. The hotel explained that it only takes cash or card, which I understand, but the receptionist was discourteous and showed no consideration. I tried Apple Pay and Suica, then asked whether I could pay with my card details over the phone or transfer the amount to a bank account, especially given how late it was. The receptionist refused both options without explaining further, and wouldn't let me speak to a manager. She kept interrupting our conversation to help other guests at the front desk, which made it feel like she didn't want to assist me. After one last unsuccessful try with a Chinese payment app, she used a translation device to tell me to find another hotel. I never expected to be let in without paying upfront, but the way she dismissed me in front of other guests was embarrassing and ill-mannered. It was past midnight, and as a female tourist travelling alone who didn't know the area, I was shocked by her lack of empathy and disregard for the possible safety risks. What had begun as a very good experience became extremely disappointing because of this staff member.
There were free drinks, a locker, and good facilities. I booked two nights, but each morning I had to check out at 10am and couldn't return until 4pm, so I got no rest during the day.
