Staff are welcoming and friendly. This is my favorite traditional Japanese inn, tucked deep in the mountains, and only a few people seem to know it exists. The secret carbonated spring is amazeballs. I confidently recommend the "Washitsu Senon" room.

A quiet hideaway out in the middle of nowhere, with a rustic charm and polite, helpful staff. The spring is unusual and comes out naturally at 12℃, so they have to heat it artificially for bathing. Hardcore onsen fans might not like that.

The food tasted good and the service was very good. The carbonated onsen water was excellent, with lots and lots of bubbles when you're soaking in it. It tastes good to drink too, very soda-like, and was fabulous for the skin.

I'd stayed here before, and the carbonated hot spring was wonderful again. The room had a great atmosphere and the scenery around the inn was lovely. There was plenty of sunshine, and I woke up to a pleasant morning. The food was delicious too, especially the fresh river fish.
