Hotel Birthday Gifunishi (Adult Only)

The ice cream welcome snack was tasty, and the room was clean. I stayed in Room 305 at this Embassy Group love hotel in Gifu City. Its karaoke setup had a LIVE DAM STADIUM unit with speakers like you'd find in karaoke bars, and the sound was excellent. The bathroom lighting was incredibly bright. It's odd that the Denmoku was one generation newer, an Ai model, while the main unit wasn't. I'd like to see that upgraded to the latest model.

The front desk staff treated me so badly that it really shocked me. I was thinking of giving this three stars, but, with apologies, I'm leaving one. I want to believe it was just a one-off. The facilities are old, and there was so much stuff in view around the room that it didn't feel relaxing.

I've been coming here three or four times a month for decades, and I've never had an issue with the room atmosphere, cleanliness, prices, food, or staff attitude. I've tried lots of dishes, but the salmon fries they serve now are especially good. If you can, could you tell me the product name or distributor? If not, no worries.

Tiny bugs have been biting me over and over this past month, and I can't sleep. I keep wondering whether they vacuum the futon or just beat it. The checkout staff are also wildly inconsistent, and I get depressed wondering what one of them will say to me next time. The front desk service seems to keep getting worse. Once I was told cleaning would take about 30 minutes, but I waited an hour with no update. They should allow more time from the start. Being left waiting without hearing anything is worse. They've also changed the rules after the fact, like when I called because a rental item hadn't come and was then told it was out of stock. Lately some items are still late, though just about within acceptable limits. Service really depends on who's working. Earlier, an item I'd ordered an hour before still hadn't arrived. I waited to call because they might've been busy, but eventually called and had to place the order again. The desk said they couldn't tell whether something had gone wrong, and I couldn't tell either since there was no communication error message, but that's not an excuse. The cup jelly did show up fine, at least. When I ordered food, I could hear how reluctantly they were listening. I received this place as a reward, but I don't think you should take everything at face value. Are they just choosing which customers to serve?
