Hotel The Textile

My room was very clean and had a full corner window, air conditioning, and a dehumidifier. The sheets were brilliantly white. The staff are quite old, and they don’t speak English, but they were all ready to help. I got a very cheap rate, about 26€, by booking early. The hotel is very close to the JR station, right among the city’s late-night spots, with lots of places to eat, drink, and meet people. I recommend it for everything!

The corner room was quiet, roomier than I expected, and very comfortable. It was almost deserted, and having few people around actually made me feel safer. Free coffee was pretty tasty. Shampoo and irons were set out for guests to take, with a note of the time you picked them up. Maybe the guests were considerate when I visited, because things were returned on time and I didn’t have to keep checking whether they were available. This was personally the best hotel I’ve stayed in. I wanted to come back, but it was fully booked over the long weekend. I hope I get another chance to stay.

The hotel seems like an older business property that got an inexpensive renovation, with wallpaper and Dinoc sheets. Some of the design items were lovely and gave the place a bit of style. The room was small, and unpacking or getting to your luggage could be hard if you were staying for about a week. For one night with little luggage, it was fine. The ceiling is low too, so taller people might feel cramped. That’s probably part of the price tradeoff. It’s right in the middle of a restaurant district, which could make it a good spot for a meal or a drink.

The building’s old, but it’s been renovated and felt like good value for the money. There were plenty of amenities, and it was very clean.
