The room is a police station. There’s plenty of space and the facilities are good, but the AC is loud. The disinfectant also seems a little strong, and the sheets might irritate your skin.

The bed was so comfortable that I woke up feeling completely refreshed, and the bath was relaxing too. I was looking for a single-story place to stay, so the trip was a lot of fun. It took a little effort to find the location, but the room was very clean and, even though it was small, never felt cramped. The underfloor heating made for a comfortable night, and I could watch the programs I like on TV. The room locks automatically when you enter and stays locked until you leave. I told the manager beforehand that I have a panic disorder, and they kindly unlocked it for me. I was really impressed by how considerate they were. If nothing has changed, I think the manager is a woman with a high-pitched, clear way of speaking. I’d definitely stay here again on a future trip to Gunma.

The hand massager was surprisingly good. After we got home, my boyfriend wanted one too and asked, “I want that one. I wonder what brand it is and what it’s called.” The bed was just the right size, and the bath was fine, so next time I’d like to book a regular room. We came on the middle day of a three-day weekend when no other rooms were available, so we ended up in an A-rank room (No. 27). The interior was a letdown. Maybe people who understand the concept like it, but paying the highest price and seeing the policeman's back was a bit much...

We stayed in a collaboration room with VTuber Chouki Taro, and the interior was much more elaborate than I expected. It made me curious to try the other rooms too. The room was spacious, really clean, and had useful amenities like a humidifier. My partner and I thought it was great value for money for a leisure hotel. If we get the chance to stay in Gotemba again, we’ll definitely come back.
