The only things I didn’t love were the stiff bedding and needing a car to get around. Otherwise, this stay was the highlight of my trip. We got a huge room upgrade for a small extra cost, with its own water cooler, sauna, and jacuzzi. The staff were friendly, it felt like great value, and the location worked really well for driving to Hakone and Lake Kawaguchiko. It felt like a vacation within a vacation.

We were upgraded from a non-smoking standard twin to a huge room with two large beds and two big TVs. It was massive for me, my wife, and our two-year-old. The bathtub fit two and had a TV and color-changing lights. There’s plenty to do, including billiards, ping-pong, a manga and magazine reading corner, and karaoke. Breakfast is available, but you have to order it the day before. There are vending machines, lots of parking, and electric car charging. Gotemba outlet is about a three-minute drive away, or you can walk. The shower head was too powerful and could easily hurt someone, especially a child. Still, I’d give the hotel five stars and come back next time ✌🏻

My ground-floor room was spacious, with a whirlpool bathtub and a big-screen TV.

We paid extra for both rooms with outdoor spa tubs, and got huge rooms with an amazing view of Mt Fuji. The rooms were so comfortable, and the beds were big, that we spent the evening and early morning enjoying the tubs. There was also a huge TV, microwave, and everything we needed to stay in all day. They welcomed our little one with a pack containing kid-size slippers, sponges, and games. This was our best hotel stay in Japan. ❤️
