The Celecton Fujisan Gotemba Interchange

We stayed here after visiting Hakone shrine, before heading to the onsen and Lake Yamanaka. It was an affordable, good-quality place with easy access around Gotemba. The service is simple, and check-in can be done yourself, though staff are also at the front desk. Pick up robes, toiletries, and other hotel items in the lobby before going to your room. The parking lot has a great view of fuji in the morning, so don't miss it.

For the price, this was a good deal. The room was roomy, and there was a self-service dispenser for hot and cold water, plus tea bags and samples of facial cleanser and skincare products.

I liked the hotel and the staff, but getting around was the issue. The nearest bus stop was a 10-minute walk, so we missed a few buses. It was also quite far from the city, and we didn't get to enjoy it.

We had a rental car, so the plentiful parking was handy, and the location worked well for us. The view of Mt Fuji was beautiful, and the price was affordable. There were lots of free amenities if you needed them, and the room was a good size for two.
