The staff were great about picking us up from the port and taking us back, and they were really professional throughout. We stayed last weekend and had such a good time that we’re already thinking of coming back. The tent was comfortable and spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The showers were clean too. We finished the evening with a barbecue, which was just right.
The food was fantastic, with lots of locally sourced ingredients, and the natural scenery nearby is well worth seeing. The Goto Islands are beautiful, with some of the country's best beaches and far fewer crowds. Getting to glamp there made the stay even more special. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The place felt really luxurious, and even had a kotatsu, a heated table with a blanket. Everything was very clean, and the toilet and shower rooms were heated, which was great in the cooler weather.
A lovely spot surrounded by nature, with really nice staff and facilities.
I was so comfortable here. What an amazing experience!
The shower rooms and toilets were clean and tidy, and the breakfast bread was wonderfully fluffy. I wished the weather had been sunny so we could have eaten it on a picnic blanket at the nearby beach. You can hear a lot through the tents, though. Voices carry clearly when people are outside, and even from inside you can just about make out someone talking. Footsteps outside are easy to hear too. Rain made glamping inconvenient. You have to go outdoors to use the bathroom, wash your face, and get breakfast, and the bed got a little damp. Still, listening to raindrops hitting the tent while falling asleep was lovely. The outside of the older tent was covered in green moss, and there were visible mold marks on the inside. If that would bother you, the school room in the old school building may be a better choice. I saw about two beautiful white tents, but which one you get seems to be luck, or maybe based on booking order. For the best view of the stars, go to the parking lot or down the stairs to the road. It's much prettier there than around the tents. We had a tour that included a boat and accommodation, and because we paid to reserve seats on the boat for our children, three beds were prepared for us. That was really cramped. I should have mentioned ahead of time that two beds were enough, so I'm sorry for the extra work. For other families sleeping with their children, two beds will leave more room in the room. It was my first glamping trip, and it was fun. The staff were patient and kind from the time I booked, answering all my questions. I had looked through social media, maps, and blogs but found surprisingly few reviews, so I wasn't sure what to pack. I'd suggest bringing pajamas you can wear outdoors, sandals, garbage bags, marshmallows, long skewers, fireworks, and rain gear. You'll be in and out of the tent a lot, taking shoes on and off for the toilet, washroom, or campfire, so sandals are handy. If rain is forecast, rain boots that are easy to get on and off and spare socks for the kids would help since they'll get wet. The room's trash can is small, so bring a plastic bag. There are campfires at two spots on the grounds. The soft marshmallows and unsweetened milk tea were great. Tea bags are provided in the tent, but bring your own milk. My kids were afraid of the fire, so the retractable marshmallow skewers from Daiso were useful. Once the flames died down, even shorter skewers worked for roasting marshmallows. Other guests brought fireworks, which looked like fun. The kotatsu inside the tent is apparently only available with the hot pot plan. I definitely recommend ordering the evening BBQ. People who had it told me it was fun and delicious. You can apparently rent a stove for 2,200 yen, so you could buy Goto beef at the supermarket and bring it along. Bringing your own stove isn't allowed. We had plans to eat Goto beef steak the next day, so we skipped the BBQ and brought fish sashimi for dinner instead. Since we hadn't requested a BBQ or stove, no table was set up in front of our tent, and we ate at the little table inside. The Goto sashimi was delicious! There were plenty of frying pans and dishes. Thanks to everyone at the facility for making my first glamping experience such a fun one. I hope these details help future guests.
