Dinner in our room was plentiful and very good, and the public bath was quiet and mostly empty. Many rooms have their own open-air baths, which may explain that. Staff gave detailed explanations of the facilities and dishes, and the service was excellent. The building has a complicated, maze-like layout, but our room was clean. It's a great fit for a quiet, relaxing break in a mountain hot spring town. We left very satisfied.

Dinner used lots of ingredients from Shimane Prefecture, and the hot springs were great. The town itself has a charming feel. I also loved the mix of Japanese and Western interior design, and the hospitality and service were wonderful.

We came to Shimane in October for our silver wedding anniversary, and this ryokan lived up to its reputation. The staff were attentive, the service was excellent, and we enjoyed the food. It's a bit far from Matsue, but well worth the trip.

A stylish little hidden inn in a remote Sanin hot spring town. The food was really delicious, and the rooms and interiors felt sophisticated. I'd like to visit again. I heard they've opened a new pension where families can stay with their pets, so I'd like to return with my family.

The room view wasn't great, with mountains and other inns all around. The inn seems to have been expanded several times over the years, and the result is a somewhat cluttered layout with lots of stairs. Aside from that, I was very satisfied.
