The room was on the small side. We chose one without a toilet, but the public toilet was very close, so it worked out fine overall. The private onsen was decent and nice for couples. You can only book it after arriving at the hotel. If you’re staying several days, you can call at 15:00 on a later day, but not on day one. The food is a big plus too, with wagyu dishes and abalone included in the basic plan. Great value.

The food was amazing, the staff were friendly, and there were lots of thoughtful little details. My favorite was coming back to the room and finding my kid’s frog had apparently had a great sleep 🤣. So lovely.

This little hotel is unbelievably cozy, with several cute spots tucked away, including a foot spa, lounge, and massage chair. We didn’t stay overnight, just came for lunch and the private outdoor bath. The bath was lovely and a good price, though you need to bring your own towel, and they didn’t provide body lotion like some other places we visited. Lunch looked and tasted great, even the appetizer. The tempura was fresh and crispy, and the hamburger was soft and cooked well.

The staff were really friendly and did a lot to help us communicate despite the language barrier. We had an amazing stay, and I’d absolutely recommend staying here. The private Onsen was magical, just remember it needs a reservation.

Dinner was excellent, and even though we didn’t speak Japanese, the staff did their best to explain each dish. They made us feel very welcome, and we’ll definitely come back. The place is a bit off the beaten track, but worth the trip. It worked well for our family with a toddler, who was running around and was kept entertained. The shared Onsen has a nice tree forest view, and the private Onsen was wonderful for our little family to have a dip. Book ahead if you want one of the premium rooms.
