A-Gate Hotel

I stayed from Tuesday in October 2025, in a lower bunk in a 20-person room on the seventh floor. The common area is roomy, though there aren't many seats with power outlets. It has a microwave, toaster, kettle, and plastic wrap. The manga selection is a little dated. There are three wash areas, a tub that fits about two people, and two shower rooms. These and the free service corner are open from 15:00 to 22:45. The corner has alcohol, soft drinks, instant noodles, and snacks. Other useful things include two hair dryers, coin laundry, and an electrically assisted bike for 500 yen. The vending machines have plenty of drinks and snacks at fair prices: Sapporo Classic, 350 ml, is 300 yen, coffee is 80 yen, and snacks are 150 yen. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there are free amenities. The lockers are small. I wasn't sure there was air conditioning, since a fan ran constantly. On the seventh floor there is one small toilet, two large ones, and four sinks. At the time, the hotel only offered rooms without meals, but planned to start a buffet breakfast soon, scheduled for 8:00-10:00. A reasonable place near the station, in a competitive hotel market like Hakodate.
