The twin room was very spacious compared with Tokyo hotels, with a small fridge, glasses, an electric kettle, and complete amenities. Remember to plug in the fridge before using it. The bathtub was small. There are two coin laundry machines on the third floor but just one dryer, and detergent costs ¥100 from the vending machine in the laundry room. The lobby is small, with free coffee and tea, and it’s a smoking room until 9 in the morning. This is an old little hotel within walking distance of Hakodate station. There’s limited information in English, and even the hotel name is only in Japanese. It’s not easy with large suitcases because stairs lead to reception. There’s a small elevator inside, but you still need to climb a few steps.

The location worked well, about a five-minute walk from food and 15 minutes from the bay area. The room was adequate for coming back to rest for the night. Air conditioning was a bit weak, though the weather is usually cool enough to make up for it. Parking is very limited, so arriving early helps avoid disappointment.

The room was compact, but tidy and cozy. The receptionist was really nice and attentive. It’s within walking distance of the main train and bus stations, and a good choice for the price.

The staff were friendly, and the location worked well. The room had a funny smell when I walked in, and the bathroom was small. Still, I had a pretty good stay.
