Gora Tsukinoizumi

Before meals, we wore the resort yukatas as we wandered around the beautiful greenery surrounding Tsukino-Izumi. The Kaiseki meals were set menus from the chef, made with seasonal, fresh ingredients. Tea and snacks were provided when we arrived, and the room came with expensive facials and moisturizers. The private room was enormous, with its own hot spring and an outdoor view screened by trees. The water was so hot that we'd get out in ten-minute intervals to avoid a bloody nose. Even the toilet lived up to the rumors, fully automated and lighting up as the bathroom door slid open. Our night here was one of our most expensive at $300. Getting up the ziprail in Hakone Valley was an adventure, and there were probably cheaper resorts along the way, but this felt like the height of the hot spring experience. It was wonderful, and I'd happily take another dip.

The food they served was all delicious, and every staff member was amazing and friendly. Our room was super clean and nice, with a private onsen bathtub 🥰👍🏻🤤

The atmosphere was amazing, the service impeccable, and the room beautiful, with a breathtaking view. An outstanding place all around.
