The rooms have been beautifully updated, and the onsen on the balcony was wonderful. It's a little away from the main areas, but the quiet, lovely surroundings made the stay worth it.

There wasn't a nice view from the room. The bar at check-in had a very limited drink and wine selection, with no snacks to have alongside a drink. Dinner is offered at 17:30 or 19:30, and the earlier time is too early. I chose 19:30, hoping to get wine or cocktails and a light snack beforehand, but that wasn't possible. The response was also quite impolite in manner and words. Dinner portions were very small compared with other places at similar half-board rates. I have no reason to return.

A calm, minimalist place that made for a lovely night away. Just note that you can’t eat at the restaurant without booking ahead. We found a Lawson’s near the bus stop up the road, which came in handy.

The breakfast was good, and the dining room waiters were friendly, but the checkout left us very unhappy. We tried to divide our group’s bill in two, and the receptionist wouldn’t hear us out and seemed impatient. Communication was difficult because he couldn’t understand basic English. The room also had problems: the toilet seat was loose and the bathtub wouldn’t drain.
