The food was delicious, and everyone on staff was warm and attentive. Seiya Hinoue especially made the visit memorable with a lovely conversation, great service, and a thoughtful surprise at checkout. We’d said how much we liked the bread at dinner, and they gave us some to take home and prepare ourselves. That personal touch meant a lot, and we’ll think of the stay when we make it. Our room was spacious, spotless, stylish, and luxurious, and the hotel’s tasteful design made it easy to feel comfortable and unwind. We’d happily come back.

We spent two nights here, and it was easy to walk to 711. There was also a lovely scenic walk nearby, and parking was available at the hotel. They serve soba noodles after 8 p.m. each night, and breakfast changed from one morning to the next. Both were enjoyable. The Sanjo room had plenty of space for four and was clean and comfortable, with a modern feel that still kept its Japanese old-day charm. Our private onsen was larger than I expected, with lots of trees around the room. There’s a road outside, but the area felt quiet and the trees blocked it well. Everyone was kind and helpful. Miyasaka cooked our sukiyaki dinner in front of us and explained each ingredient. She was friendly and welcoming throughout, and especially made the stay memorable for our teenagers, who loved the Kyoto rice.

The private onsen had a lovely view, and the room was spacious and clean. The staff were welcoming from the start. Rumina cooked and served us an amazing Wagyu Sukiyaki dinner, patiently explaining the meal and making everything feel effortless. We’ll cherish our stay at Nazuna Hakone Miyanoshita and plan to return on our next visit to Hakone. Highly recommend it.

The team at Nazuna made us feel welcome at every turn. We don’t speak Japanese, but staff used translation apps and took care to explain the hotel and its delicious food, so communication was easy. Special thanks to Hikaru and Kana, who looked after us so wonderfully. We’ve visited Japan four times, and finally chose this trip for a traditional onsen stay in Hakone. There were so many lovely places to pick from, but after our night here, we’re glad we chose Nazuna. Having a private onsen in our room, looking out over that magical landscape, was worth the cost by itself. The staff made the whole experience even more special. This was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had, and one we won’t forget. I’d recommend making it a proper highlight of the itinerary, perhaps midway through the trip, rather than a quick stop. It’s a peaceful place to slow down, unwind, recharge, and soak it all in.

The rooms, onsen, and food were all beautifully done, and every part of the stay surpassed what we expected. Still, it was the people who made Hotel Nazuna stand out. Their warm welcome, attentive care, and genuine smiles made us feel at home right away. That kind of sincere hospitality is rare. One of the highlights of our Japan trip, and we’d gladly return. We couldn’t recommend Nazuna more.
