Rakuten STAY VILLA Hakone Sengokuhara

The Villa is spacious, relaxing, and has its own onsen, which was the main thing for me. The decor and finishes look quite new and modern, though a few areas could have been cleaner. I’d recommend it for families or a larger group visiting the area.

There’s plenty of cookware and utensils if you want to make meals, and the local market is only a five-minute drive away. Take a walk to Lawson "conbini" for the amazing mountain fields. The rooms, private onsen, and amenities are great, but check-in was very difficult.

We really enjoyed the stay, 10/10. The place fits at least ten people, with lots of indoor space, a huge backyard, and all-new interiors. There are two onsens upstairs and another outside downstairs, plus plenty of great amenities. Parking is on site, and check-in and checkout were very easy. One of the best hotels in the area.

We had a magnificent stay and can’t wait to come back. The place felt luxurious and had so much room to spread out. It came with sparkling water, slippers, disposable towels, self-care gifts, and all sorts of amenities. We walked to a nearby soba place for dinner and to Lawson for late-night snacks. The main downside was the 3 PM check-in. Since it’s self check-in, you need to leave your luggage in station lockers if you have plans beforehand and don’t want to carry it around. We took the bus to Owakudani, where luckily there were lockers, so we could shop without our bags and enjoy the sights.
