Resorpia Hakone

The location is near a cable car stop, though the hotel sits up a pretty steep hill. Anyone who has trouble walking might want to take the hotel shuttle from Gora train station. The Japanese restaurant was excellent, and the staff were polite and attentive. The rooms are roomy by Japanese hotel standards, while the bathrooms are tiny, but that didn’t bother me since there’s the Onsen. It seems mainly aimed at Japanese guests, so don’t expect Western food.

Getting to the entrance involves a steep climb, so the shuttle from Gora Station is useful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the facilities are modern rather than traditional. Families may appreciate the kids playroom. Breakfast is included, with Japanese and Western choices together, and it was awesome.

It’s easy to find, right by the cable car. The onsen bath house was clean and relaxing, and breakfast came with our stay as a traditional Japanese meal. The resort is well run, and the staff were very polite.

Right by the Gora cable car line, the hotel is well placed for getting around Hakone and Fuji. There’s a public onsen, arcade games, beer vending machines, and a kids room downstairs in the basement. Our room and bathroom were a decent size. Breakfast was a buffet with a good range of food, and the staff were friendly and happy to answer questions.
