Yuk at the front desk sorted out discounted lift passes, onsen tickets, and a transfer to hakuba station. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and excellent value. It's a short walk over the snow from the boot room to the Iwatake gondola. Big shout-out to the girl making coffee, toasties, and draft beer. I was very satisfied with the stay.

They were especially accommodating when our plans changed, and the location and staff were great. We had an incredible stay and will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

There was good food, a cozy local feel, and friendly owners. You can walk to the slopes and ski buses.

Booking directly through the website was cheaper, so I stayed in the village again after spending a while in Omachi because Hakuba accommodation had been getting more expensive. I found this renovated older place quite comfortable. I was there in February 2014, the night before a snowboarding trip. The Wi-Fi was slow, and the room temperature control didn't work properly. Still, I'd stay here again when I need a night in Hakuba before a trip.

The meals use a lot of local ingredients and left me full. The place has a mountain hut feel, and the Iwatake Gondola is only three minutes away. There aren't any towels, and the bath area is on the small side, but that's acceptable. The toilet is roomy, with a heated seat and washlet. I was very satisfied with this stay.
