Altitude Hakuba

We were eight in the Panorama apartment and had plenty of room. The kitchen was huge and well stocked, and I got a kick out of the espresso pods. Heated floors throughout were a dream, but the indoor onsen was the real prize. Everything felt clean, modern, and well cared for. There’s also a very large shared dry room downstairs, used by Panorama and the other apartment in Altitude. The spot is a gem, an easy walk to the bars and restaurants in upper Wadano and to the Sakka slope at Happo One. Justin was a legend, quick to reply whenever we needed to communicate, and very willing to shuttle us, drop us off, or pick us up. The place is amazing. I’d stay here every time I came to Hakuba if I could, and would definitely keep it in mind for a visit.

Felix was quite helpful, and I’d stay there again. It’s a nice place, though a bit out of the way and uphill, which makes walking back from the shuttle a pain. There may also be a slight damp smell around the shared dry room. Otherwise, I recommend it.

We were a group of five, and this was definitely the best option for us. It’s a very big, well-equipped place at the Hapoone ski resort. The host met us when we arrived, showed us the basics of the house, and, most importantly, explained what was nearby. We had a car, which made getting around easy, but even on foot the pubs, restaurants, ski shop, and other places are fairly close. Hakuba was an incredible skiing destination too. Much recommended, especially for a group of friends.

That big deck among the trees and the private Onsen with its large windows made this place perfect for our family. It’s absolutely wonderful, and we loved having family BBQs there.
