I’m woody from Hong Kong👍🏻. Santana Hotel stood out to me for its cleanliness and breakfast. The rooms were spotless, with fresh linens, comfortable beds, modern amenities, and bright natural light from large windows. The bathroom was immaculate too. The lobby was elegant and calm, the staff welcoming, and the housekeeping team kept the whole place tidy. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including pastries, hot dishes made with local ingredients, fruit, cereal, and yogurt. The dining room was spacious and well cared for, and the friendly, attentive staff made it a comfortable place to linger over a meal. It’s also conveniently located near popular attractions, so it works as a base for either a business trip or a getaway. Santana Hotel gets cleanliness and breakfast right, and guests who care about a pristine place to stay should find it a pleasant choice.

We’ve come back to Santana several times and have never been disappointed. The hosts make it feel warm, clean, friendly, and comfortable, and Fumi still makes the best gyoza ever! I looked forward to breakfast every morning, and Albert and Fumi are always happy to share local knowledge or lend a hand. Staying here also gets you access to lodge discounts on ski hire and lift tickets. The first time, I picked Santana because it had the best reviews at an affordable price. It’s easy to see why. Big thanks to Albert for driving us and all our gear to the bus stop again. The only hard part is having to leave. Already looking forward to coming back.

Hakuba’s a great place to stay in any season. In winter it’s close to the ski lifts, and in summer there are lots of trails for hiking and cycling. The place is cosy and clean, and breakfast is great, with fresh fruit and vegetables from the owners’ farm. The hosts are welcoming and always glad to show you around.

I was just walking past the place outside, trying to find the restaurant next door. I went by the sign saying “welcome,” but the guy, who must have been the owner, shouted at me and chased me away while my two young kids were standing there. The rudest person I’ve ever met. Incredible.

A lovely couple run this beautiful, authentic cottage, just a five-minute walk from the ski area. The continental breakfast was great, and the rooms were spotless and well equipped. We loved warming up together in the cosy living room around the fireplace. Definitely recommend staying here in Hakuba.
