We had a very pleasant stay. The house was clean and new, had all the amenities we needed, and was in a good location. The Wi-Fi was good too. The owner was kind and helpful. We had a small accident on the road and needed to call the police, but we weren't sure how to handle the language barrier since we don't speak Japanese. We called the owner, and he and his wife rushed over with the police and helped with everything. That meant a lot to us.

The rooms are a good size with plenty of space, and the underfloor heating keeps the place warm and cosy. The kitchen has what you need to cook, though it only has a stovetop. It seems like Tanin and the team have thought of everything. With a car, Happo and Goryu/Hakuba 47 are within 10 minutes. Iwatake takes 20 minutes, and Tsugaike is another five minutes beyond that. A great place to stay in Hakuba.

Those beds were the most comfortable we’ve had in Japan, firm but still soft, and the pillows were soft too. We also appreciated the rain shower and toaster oven for breakfast during our six nights at Baan Hakuba while snowboarding around the valley. Getting a taxi in peak winter was difficult, so we walked to Echoland for the shuttle. There’s also a shuttle at the end of the street if you’re using evergreen ski school. Food options are plentiful nearby, with more in Echoland about 10 minutes away and Happo around 25 minutes on foot. The 7/11 is about a 10-minute walk.
