We spent ten days here in December, right at the start of ski season, and had the best time. The apartment is modern, clean, and welcoming, with enough room to cook and relax together as a family. A bottle of red was waiting by the fire when we arrived, which was such a nice touch. Dom and Jess were attentive when we checked in and offered help without getting in the way. Echoland’s local eateries and one of Central Snow Sports rental outlets are close by, and the apartment sits in the middle of Hakuba valley, making each resort a short drive away for a different ski day. Firefly apartments are a great fit if you want your own place while still having access to lots of local knowledge for activities and entertainment all year. We’d love to come back.

We spent four nights at Firefly Apartments near the start of spring, and the only thing we wanted was a longer stay. It was modern, spacious, and very well equipped. Heated floors made the cold nights cozy while we watched snow falling, and the beds and pillows were comfortable enough for a great sleep every night. The bathrooms are modern Western style, with high quality soap and shampoo. It’s an easy walk to lots of good restaurants, bars, and shops, and a 5-10 minute drive to Hakuba-47, Happo One, and other great resorts. We also visited the snow monkey's, about an hour away. Can’t wait to return to Firefly.

Staying at Firefly feels like a real change of pace, even if you’re just stepping away from your usual home routine. The house has that modern, model-home feel, and it’s easy to avoid contact with others from booking through check-out. For anyone still a bit nervous about traveling again after the pandemic, I’d recommend it.

The place is compact, but it’s been thoughtfully put together down to the little details. The owners are so kind and welcoming, and being right in the heart of Hakuba makes it really convenient.

I had a nice time, ate dinner nearby, and then relaxed in my room. The one letdown was not being able to watch Hanzawa Naoki on TV.
