Hotel Hakuba

The service was excellent across the board, from the front desk to the breakfast and dinner restaurants. I loved staying here for my first visit and snowboard lessons. Booking through the hotel's website was a bit challenging at first because everything was in Japanese, but it was worth it. Breakfast and dinner had lots of choices, especially the grilled fish, ramen, and the local curry you can only find in this area. I was disappointed the hotel was fully booked for my February snowboarding trip, but I sincerely hope I can stay again. I'd gladly give it five stars.

The staff at Hotel Hakuba were wonderful, sincere, and consistently went above and beyond. When my luggage was delayed from Kyoto, they contacted the company, checked on it several times, and kept me updated. Later, my son hurt his hand, and the hotel drove us to a nearby local hospital. A staff member interpreted for us and stayed until the nurses understood the situation. They continued asking after my boy over the next few days. We had a spacious, very nice family room. Breakfast and dinner buffets offered a good selection, with some dishes great and others just OK. Views of the mountains from the rooms and dining area were decent. The hotel is relatively close to Hakuba Station, though not right beside the slopes, and the shuttle to the different slopes was one of the reasons I chose it. Wonderful team.

Equipment rental onsite was easy, and the free shuttle to the hills from the front door made getting around seamless. After a day out, the good food and bath rounded things off nicely. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond. Highly recommend for a worry free visit.

The views were excellent, and the staff were friendly. Shuttle buses made it convenient to get to most ski resorts and attractions. Full board included breakfast and dinner buffets, with a decent range of choices, though the food wasn't top notch. The only downside was really slow wifi. Recommended!
