Hotel Sejour mint

We had a great first trip to Hakuba. Jon, Hidemi, and the rest of the staff were warm and welcoming to everyone. The hotel was clean and had plenty of amenities, and the breakfast was a good way to get ready for a day of skiing or snowboarding. The Japanese hot bath is in the basement. We also had chicken nabe for dinner one night, and it was amazing, just right for the weather. The hotel is within walking distance of Escal plaza base. When we left, they gave us a sweet snack pack too. Thanks to Jon, Hidemi, and the team!

My sister got injured while skiing, and the staff checked that she was okay, brought her food, and even gave her a little present. They were so kind and accommodating. The rooms were cozy, and the slopes were only a few minutes away. I loved this place and can’t wait to come back 🩷

We spent three nights here. The room was a little small and basic, though that seems common with smaller hotels and lodges. Most people are out at the ski resort all day anyway. The atmosphere was great, with guests chatting and greeting each other, and Mr Jon and his team were always smiling and helpful. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to Goryu ski resort. We had wagyu beef shabu shabu for dinner, and the meat was fresh and delicious. A cozy, warm place with very friendly service. Highly recommended. If you can, book through Expedia, since the hotel partners with them. I used Trip, and it took them some time to find our booking.

There’s everything you need here for a Hakuba ski stay: an easy walk to rentals and the ski lifts, breakfast every day, a great bar, and a very nice Onsen in the basement with a hot shower and tub. They also provide a shuttle from the train station. The staff were fun and incredibly helpful, and the hot pot dinner was delicious. The common areas had a lovely atmosphere, and it was fun chatting with other guests. I had an awesome time.
