Kizuna Lodge

The staff were great and very accommodating, helping with shuttle rides around Hakuba. The lodge also had good rooms and breakfast. A lovely place to stay for a ski trip.

I should have paid closer attention to reviews saying management had changed and someone else was running the lodge instead of the original owner. The room was terribly unclean, with cobwebs all over the windows and bedsheets that were definitely not clean. I had a really bad acne breakout on my face as a result. The staff weren’t welcoming or helpful. They avoided eye contact and played games at reception, which felt very rude. Breakfast wasn’t all you can eat as stated, and tasted like broke college student food. The utensils were dirty, some were even rusting, and the hot water for drinking smelled awful. It was also hard to adjust the shower’s hot water, and the temperature kept changing. Absolutely not worth what I paid.

Kizuna Lodge felt like home. We enjoyed our trip to Hakuba, and the friendly environment meant we met people who became friends. Helo made the trip even better with her joyful spirit. We’ll definitely come back!

We had a great stay at Kizuna Lodge in Hakuba. We brought our two-year-old to see the snow, and my wife broke her leg while we were there. The staff did everything they could to accommodate us. Bri, Harvey, and Jazz were so helpful and made the trip amazing. They’re a real credit to the lodge.
