Our ski trip to Hakuba was wonderful, but what stood out most was the care at Pension Serenade. We’re two Canadians who don’t speak or read Japanese, and we’d found the place online without expecting much. The owner handled everything himself, from the front desk to making delicious meals and bread, and made us feel looked after. He even drove us to our bus stop so we could catch the bus back to Nagano. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the Echoland Spicy stop on the V2 Bus line. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable. We hope the owner stays happy and healthy, and we’d gladly stay here again if we’re back in this part of town. Such warm Japanese hospitality. I’d recommend Pension Serenade to anyone looking for a place in Hakuba.

A fairly priced inn run by a hardworking Japanese host. I think Japanese guests would be glad to find a place like this where meals are included. Good luck! ^ ^ ♪

You really should stay at this guesthouse if you’re visiting Baima. The owner is so welcoming, polite, and kind, and the food he cooks is excellent.

The bathroom was clean and the water felt great, even though the room itself wasn’t especially spacious. I was also impressed by the range of breads at breakfast, and the coffee was delicious. I stayed over Obon, and the owner was friendly and treated me kindly. Echo Land’s shopping street is about a three-minute walk away.
