Hamamatsu Station Hotel

You only have a toothbrush and razor in the room, and the TV screen is about the size of a large laptop. The room gets very dry in winter. I couldn't use the promised free Wi-Fi on any of my devices during my stay, and even making a mobile phone call was difficult. The hotel is just a minute from the station, which is a great location, but it's an old building with old furniture, air-conditioning, and bathroom.

The rooms are really small, and it can get quite hot inside. The staff were kind and helpful, though, and they provide free ramen at dinner plus free breakfast in the morning.

Breakfast was okay, though there wasn't much choice for someone coming from Europe. The room felt tiny even by Japanese standards, and the AC seemed to have only on or off settings. Low, medium, and high all felt the same to us. Still, it was a clean hotel in a perfect spot by Hamamatsu's main station. Cross the street, take the narrow passage, and it's about a minute from there. The staff were friendly.

A little old, but good value. They offer a welcome drink and free curry when you arrive.
