The rooms and beds are spacious, and parking is free with plenty of space. The trade-offs inside are the limited number of outlets, no washlet in the toilet, and no chair or bucket in the bath. Hot water use is limited to 20 minutes at a time, so long baths aren't possible. The elevator is for business use, and the karaoke bar on the first floor feels a bit old-fashioned. The air conditioner wasn't working properly. I called the front desk using my smartphone, and they replaced the battery. For food, if you're driving, Sawayaka is a good option. A car is useful for getting around. Nakatajima Sand Dunes, one of Japan's three largest sand dunes, is nearby and has spectacular sunsets. Lake Hamana is about a 30-minute drive away, with Bentenjima, Tateyamadera, and Oku-Hamanako worth visiting.
