Bar & Hotel Colors Miyajima

Getting in after 21:00 and checking in took more than 2 hours and 30 minutes. The booking was confirmed the following day, but the confirmation email had the PIN needed to access the accommodation. Without that PIN, there was no way in. The first phone number on the booking site went unanswered. The other emergency number was posted inside the accommodation, so I had to zoom in to photograph it. Someone answered, but it was an answering machine asking me to leave a message. So funny. Once inside, the check-in process was especially complicated. With two rooms booked, getting the access codes was a disaster.

The room was very clean, and the bed was made wonderfully. The price was good too, and you can see beautiful scenery from the hotel. It’s conveniently close to the train station, with easy access to the ferry for visiting Miyajima Siro and its beautiful island. I hope to visit your place and facilities again soon when I’m in the beautiful city of Hiroshima.

An AirBnb on the third floor, with a large, very clean room and little of a view. The place felt lifeless and soulless.

The bar gave the place a relaxed feel in the evenings, and getting around was easy since it’s on a tourist route. I stayed while sightseeing in Miyajima. The guest rooms seemed relatively new, were well designed, and very clean. But the room had a pet litter box and food box even though the official information says pets aren’t allowed. I wondered if the room had once been pet friendly, though I can’t tell. As a guest, I find it reassuring when the information provided matches what’s actually there. The atmosphere and location are good, but the details could use clarification.
