A nice, cozy place with an activity space on the first floor. The owner is very nice and helpful, and speaks quite good English. The bath and toilet are separate but shared with other guests. That was quite all right since the place is compact, and there aren’t many people staying each night.

Tired of the usual sightseeing spots? If you’re after an unconventional trip, I’d definitely recommend YAMANAMI. Hida Furukawa is a place where you can feel restored. It’s the perfect Japanese countryside, with people connected to one another, and everything they introduce is interesting. They can also take foreign travelers to parts of Japan that are hard to reach.
