Tomikawa City Hotel

It was a really terrible hotel. Sadly, it seemed to be the only place to stay around Tomikawa.

I won't be coming back!

The front desk service was just average, and the Wi-Fi was painfully slow. The rooms are roomy and have air conditioning and a stove, and I was glad there wasn't a modular bath, but the shower pressure was weak. For stays of several nights, trash may or may not be collected, and whether towels or bath mats get replaced depends on the plan. The shampoo comes in a little disposable packet that's hard to open with wet hands; there's no body wash, just soap, and the hair dryer feels like a toy. If you can bring things along, pack travel shampoo or something similar. This made me think that's what you get when there's no competition. Next time I'll pick another hotel, even if it means staying farther from where I'm going.

Tomikuru is close enough to walk to, and the low price is a real plus. I also liked having a separate bathroom and toilet. The soundproofing could be better, but given the location there aren't many noisy young guests around. You could still end up with an unlucky room, though it doesn't seem like a major problem.
