Hotel Gran Casa

The IN and OUT areas are unmanned, and you get an email notification, but everything was easy to understand and use even as a first-time user. The parking lot was spacious and easy to park in.

I called to ask a question, but the person who answered sounded like a part-time student, and their language was inappropriate. From beginning to end, they kept ending their sentences with “nan de sukedo,” so I couldn’t tell what was going on or what I was supposed to do. I couldn’t communicate with them.

The check-in and check-out process on a mobile phone was convenient. The rooms are spacious, and there’s plenty of parking too. The bathroom and sink, though, are awkward to use.

There’s a bathtub where you can use bath salts, and the massage chair worked well. I’d recommend it for anyone feeling tired. The room was a bit old, but had everything we needed. It was spacious enough to unpack easily, and the cute paintings on the walls were a nice touch. Toiletries are kept in the cabinet outside the room for easy access. Being unmanned made luggage storage a little inconvenient. We were lucky to run into a cleaning staff member before check-in, who kindly agreed to put our bags in the room, and we were very grateful. The location is convenient too. On the way from Higashihiroshima Station, you pass sake breweries, so you can visit those first and then store your luggage. If you need to leave bags, it’s recommended to tell the hotel in advance.
