Getting there was easier than I expected: there’s a direct Limited Express from Tokyo to Izu-Inatori Station, and the shuttle bus makes arrival convenient. Once there, Ginsuiso Inatori felt calm and welcoming from the start, and the ocean views were beautiful. Waking up to Sagami Bay right outside the window made the stay feel special. My favorite part was soaking in the open-air onsen overlooking the sea, especially in the peaceful morning. Dinner was memorable too. The simmered kinmedai was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the abalone and wagyu were prepared beautifully. You can tell care goes into the dishes. After the onsen, I liked unwinding in the quiet, comfortable lounge and enjoying the view. One of my most relaxing ryokan stays in Japan. If you want a calm seaside place away from the crowds, with ocean views and good food, I highly recommend Ginsuiso Inatori.

The lounge had free snacks at noon and again in the evening, and the staff were excellent. The room was spacious, with a breathtaking ocean view. Dinner was delicious, especially the kinmedai fish, and the buffet breakfast was just as good. I had an amazing stay with no complaints, and I’d return if I visit Izu again. 💓

Abby at the front desk really came through when we were worried about missing our train to Tokyo. Once she heard we were short on time, she quickly spoke with her manager and arranged a ride to the station. She even made the trip feel personal with a warm conversation. We were so grateful for her help and upbeat attitude. We came for the RDC festival and spent two nights at Ginsuiso Inatori. The ocean view from our room and the thoughtful amenities made it easy to switch off. Breakfast was one of the best hotel buffets I’ve had, with great quality and plenty of choice, even compared with higher-end Western chains. We skipped the dinner plan, so I can’t say how that was. I’d happily recommend a stay here to friends and family.

The service was fine, but the bathroom in our room was awful. I ended up going downstairs to the public bath to shower. Be ready for a lot of people around peak meal times, both at dinner and at the breakfast buffet.

The price really surprised me. It was about what one night at a Holiday Inn in the U.S. might cost, yet the stay included a full Japanese course meal in a Michelin-style, nearly 24-hour access to a peaceful lounge, and one of the best hot spring experiences I’ve had in Japan. The Japanese buffet breakfast was also packed with delicious, high-quality choices and beautifully arranged. I’m honestly thinking about retiring here. It feels like a dream if you want luxury, relaxation, and authentic Japanese hospitality without spending a fortune.
