This was a splurge during our trip, but I don't regret it. Getting here from Shinagawa Station usually takes 2-3 train rides, and the hotel has a shuttle that picks guests up at the nearby station. On arrival we were served matcha and a little cookie, a nice touch before heading to our room. The owner was very kind and made sure we had what we needed. We booked the kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast, and both felt like a luxurious treat. Considering the meal add-ons, it felt like a good deal to me, since similar meals could easily cost $300/pp in the US. I'm glad we came across this gem through a YouTube video and booked thru Booking.com.

The staff were super friendly, and the view from the private onsen was amazing. Dinner and breakfast were incredibly generous, so much food we could barely manage it all. Loved this onsen hotel. If we come back, I'd definitely stay an extra night.

Carlos and the rest of the staff were fantastic, and the food was a real highlight of our trip. We spent two nights here and loved how beautiful the hotel was. The hot springs are private and first come, first served, though booking a room with its own spring is well worth it if you can. I’d go back if I return to Japan.

We were stuck in Ito because of a snowstorm, and the people at Isaribi arranged a car to pick us up. We were really grateful for the help and had a wonderful stay. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The view, service, food, and private hot spring made this a great experience. I’d definitely recommend it. For sightseeing, I’d suggest visiting izo kogen, one station from izo okawa.
