Kanazawa Capsule Hotel Musashimachi

The staff were friendly and the location was great, but I've stayed in several capsule hotels and found this one really uncomfortable. It felt like I was sleeping straight on the floor. If you have to stay, I'd ask for two comforters and try sleeping on top of them. I'm exhausted today, but hey, I got what I paid for 😵‍💫

The sleeping pods are separated for men and women, and there’s an alarm near the bed, a towel set bag, lounge wear, and a locker system. I didn't dislike anything. It would be good to have a few more toilets, though. Once, during cleaning, we had to wait in the lounge area for a long time.

I stayed in this capsule hotel for 3 nights, and the capsules were far too hot. I mentioned it to the staff, and they showed me it was 25°c and the air-conditioning was broken, so no air was blowing into the room. They suggested opening the big window, but then the street noise got louder, and some people kept closing it. I ended up having to sleep practically naked. There was no kitchen because it was out of service, just a microwave and hot water. The beds were quite hard, so I asked for another one to put on top, and they did, which was really nice. They provide pj's, towels, body wash, and shampoo for your stay.

The capsules are fairly roomy and comfortable, and the place is clean, affordable, and well located. I had no major problems, though having to leave between 10am and 2pm each day is inconvenient. Curtains give you some privacy, but the main lights stay on all night. Dimming them would help a lot. There are also plenty of signs listing things guests can't do, though I imagine some of that comes from people behaving badly.
