My friend booked this for his Japan visit, and it turned into a very bad experience. Communication was poor, and we couldn't manage in English, so we had to get help from our Japanese friend. The room's key box wouldn't open, and four of us spent nearly 40 minutes dealing with it in the middle of the night. There were large flying insects and reptiles in the room, and we were asked to pay extra at checkout the next day. Thank you for replying, but we had emailed in advance and contacted you three times over three hours, without getting the issue properly resolved. Because of it, we couldn't check in until 1 a.m., an hour after arriving at midnight. You did deal with it, but we're very disappointed.

We had a great time as soon as we checked in. The amenities were self-serve and all in the right places, and the balcony gave us a wonderful 150-degree view. The decor was classy, especially for this price range. Thanks to our host!

I had a lovely, peaceful stay in Izu with 11 friends. I'd recommend staying here, and taking a dip in the outdoor bath.

I booked this in November for a mid-February stay to celebrate my 40th birthday, and the reservation was confirmed in early February. Then, just two days before check-in, the owner canceled without giving a proper reason, and there was no way to communicate properly. I really wouldn't recommend this place if you want to enjoy Izu with peace of mind.

The living room looks out over the water, and the big couches are great for movie nights. There were 10 of us, and everyone had a comfortable bed. This was our second stay after RDC festival, and we'll be back :)
