Setouchi Tsuda

Having the sea right outside the balcony at Setoya TSUDA made it easy to sit and gaze out for ages. I found the view so luxurious. The place has BBQ facilities and provides what you need, so I could enjoy a barbecue without bringing anything along. You can head straight into the ocean for a swim, and the setting is good for fishing too. I liked having coffee in the morning with the sea breeze, then listening to the waves over BBQ and drinks in the evening. It’s a special spot for a change of pace. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to unwind, whether with friends or family.

My son planned this family trip, and we were very happy with the room, facilities, and service. I’d recommend the place, but the reservation communication was a real concern. The day before our stay, I got an email asking for guest information. I filled it in quickly and replied, but they didn’t answer my inquiry or send the check-in number they were supposed to provide. Since I didn’t have a phone number for the property and email was the only contact method, I called Jalan while already on the way, about 30 minutes before arrival. Jalan confirmed the booking and contacted the operating company. I finally got a call with the check-in number just 10 minutes before we arrived. Until then, no one had told me the reservation wasn’t confirmed or given me the number. After Jalan reached them, they apologized for their mistake and said they’d send it. Without a contact number or details about the operating company, the situation felt suspicious and made me wonder if it was safe. They should handle this better. It’s a shame, because the facilities are so good.

We had such a relaxing time here with our family this summer. The scenery was lovely, and the clean accommodation had everything we needed for a fantastic BBQ apart from the food. We could fish from the breakwater and swim at what felt like a private beach. We enjoyed it so much that we came twice, in July and September, and are thinking of staying two nights next year. Still, all that fishing and we didn’t catch a single fish 😭 (lol).
