The shuttle from Fukuyama Station made getting there easy, and staff were already waiting when we got off to help with our bags. The hotel is also near the local sights. Our room felt roomy, with its own onsen and a balcony looking out over the water. I could hear the tide and watch seagulls and eagles overhead, which made the stay really calm and relaxing. Everyone was polite and helpful, and there were complimentary snacks and drinks in the lobby, which was a generous touch. If you're visiting Tomonoura, Migiwatei Ochi Kochi is a very, very good place to stay.

Watching the sunrise from our room was such a memorable part of the stay. The hotel was a welcome break from the bustle of Japan's bigger cities, and the rooms were comfortable and well equipped. We had delicious seafood for both dinner and breakfast, and the staff took care of everything we needed. It was an especially peaceful visit, and one of our favorite hotels we've ever stayed in.

The ryokans and the dinner service were both stellar, and I'd love to stay here again. From arrival through departure, the resort showed real kindness and hospitality. It was an extremely refined experience.

The staff arranged a free shuttle to and from Fukuyama Station, which was handy. They also put together an English menu by hand so I could understand what was being prepared, and many staff members spoke English. That was very considerate. The price is firmly high-end, but the hotel and service were high quality for the cost. Our room had a private onsen, and we also booked the public bath for an exclusive 45-minute slot. Both were lovely, as were breakfast and the eight-course dinner. The views of the sea and small islands nearby are beautiful. The onsen is a great way to unwind in the atmosphere here, and I'd stay again.

The setting is right on the waterfront in a small seaside town, with excellent views. We booked a room with a private onsen and I'd recommend it. The lobby also has complimentary drinks, including alcoholic options and various juices, plus snacks. Service was top-notch. We drove in and parked at their nearby sister hotel, where staff picked us up and brought our luggage to the room. On arrival they walked us through the amenities and how the hotel works, and everyone was very accommodating. The room was comfortable and relaxing, with a private bath and balcony over the ocean. It had plenty of toiletries, a nice coffee set, complimentary drinks and chocolate, pajamas, and a yukata to wear around the hotel. I just wish there'd been a small dresser for clothes from my suitcase. The food is a must for the full ryokan experience.
