The staff really came through for our group of seven, including elderly people and lots of luggage. He managed to call three taxis to take us to the airport. It was a Saturday, so maybe that helped. If you can handle your bags on foot, the station is about a 10-minute walk away, with plenty of taxis at the stand outside. I had my own single room for three nights while traveling with a large group, and it was just right for a city stay. The room was a good size for one, with a very clean, new bathroom and even a mini bathtub. I could see the street from my room. On the first night I smelled BBQ from the restaurant downstairs, but it was gone for the other two nights. There are nearby shops for shopping, and lots of restaurants to eat at, plus supermarkets with really delicious food you can bring back to the room. For shower gel and shampoo, you don't need to bring your own, the hotels here have them.

You can hear people in other rooms flushing the toilet, showering, and talking, so the spacious room and bathroom aren't soundproof. Breakfast was just so-so, and I'd rather not book without it. The location is great, 50m from JR Hakata station, Yodobashi, and malls like AMU and Hankyu, with all kinds of restaurants around.

My room was on 3F this time, and it smelled of the restaurant. The air was stink.

The reception was very accommodating, and the lobby was squeaky clean. There are all sorts of Japanese restaurants around the hotel. The room may feel a bit small for someone built Western or European, but it was fine for Asians. Basic toiletries are free, too. A good spot for Hakata, quite near the Shinkansen area.
