HOTEL LiVEMAX PREMIUM Himejieki-Minami

I couldn't use the Onsen because I have a tattoo, and I had to upgrade my room to get some sleep. The room wasn't great, the bed was really bad and too short for my 187cm height, and the pillow wasn't good either.

The shared Wi-Fi for the whole building was painfully slow. If you want to read manga online or watch videos, expect long buffering waits. The room itself was clean and pleasant, and the staff were great. The bed was a little too firm for me, though that's normal in Japan. The Livemax has a good spot in Himeji, one road south of the station, with easy access to transit and the main shops. There’s a public bath and sauna upstairs. On the men's side, there were two decent-sized indoor baths and a smaller outdoor one, all enjoyable and well maintained. The changing area had very large patches of mould on the walls and ceiling. I know a room next to a steamy area is hard to keep mould-free, but the size and color of it was offputting. The price was superb despite those few issues, and I'd absolutely book again if I return to Himeji and recommend it to others.

The hotel felt safe, and the value was great. I booked a twin room through Agoda and got a big room with a private bathtub. Staff were kind and provided good service, explaining everything clearly. It's near Himeji station, about a two-minute walk, with lots of restaurants nearby. There's also a parking lot, a public Onsen, and restaurants at the hotel. So impressed, I'll come back next time.

The room was a decent size and very tidy, and the staff were friendly. It's a great location, about a five-minute walk from the station. They also held my bags since I arrived before check-in. Excellent value for money.
