Kosera Hirado, Entire Unit Available for Rent

Having the whole house to ourselves made this a really easy family stay. We didn't have to keep reminding the kids to be quiet like we would in a regular hotel, and they loved watching their favorite anime on the big screen. They also had fun with the play kitchen and ping-pong table. The kitchen had plenty of equipment, and though we didn't try it, the BBQ area looked like it would be fun to use. My wife was happy with all the amenities, and the soft futons and two bedrooms meant we all slept comfortably. The building is old, but renovated, spotless, and very comfortable. We could relax without worrying about COVID-19 and came away with great family memories. I'd recommend it for families with children or groups looking for a lively get-together.

After camping in Hirado City the night before, this place felt like heaven. All five of us, two adults and three elementary school children, were very happy, and we could relax without worrying about anyone around us. The building is old but very clean. Even in the scorching heat, the air conditioning worked well in every room, and the amenities were excellent. The futons were so comfortable that we slept really well. In a good way, the house kept a lot of the charm of old private life, unlike the old houses in Ojika. The children found that refreshing. On the other hand, this isn't a hotel on the same level as the old houses in Ojika, so you might be disappointed if that's what you expect.

We were nine in the family, and the renovated old house was comfortable, with air conditioning that worked well. The kitchen was spacious and easy to use. We were told it had everything you'd find in a typical home, so we planned to make taco rice on a hot plate. But because it was BBQ season, they said we had to bring the hot plate ourselves. We'd already said we weren't having a BBQ, and the description had led us to think one would be there. Since we were in Hirado, we wanted to buy fish at the market and cook it, but the knife was incredibly dull. They should at least provide a sharp one or sharpen it beforehand. There were condiments in the fridge, and throwing them away seems wasteful, so why not let the next guests use them? I understand that might be the hotel's policy, but it would help to mark when they were opened. They might still be within date, but I was hesitant to use them. There was also raw meat in the chiller compartment, and I was worried because I had no idea how old it was. The dates really need to be specified. Despite those complaints, we had a great family stay. The surroundings were lovely, and the sea was nearby and beautiful. I'd like to return if I get the chance. We didn't set off fireworks, but they aren't allowed after 9 PM.
