Alphabed Hirosima Peace Road

The room was much more spacious than I expected, and it had a washing machine with detergent and a bathroom dryer, which was a huge help since I brought extra clothes. It also had a rice cooker and dishes, though I didn't use them. My main priorities were cleanliness, disposable slippers, an outlet by the bed, and ideally a separate toilet and bathroom. All of those were covered. The only thing missing was pajamas.

The location made it easy to get around for sightseeing and meals, and I’d definitely stay here again. We were in room 401, which had two double beds and one single, with plenty of room for three. It was clean throughout and the furniture and facilities were easy to use. Having a kitchen and washing machine would make it suitable for a longer stay too. There was no staff member to help with check-in, but the instructions were detailed and we had no trouble following them. The only drawback was carrying things up the steep stairs to the fourth floor, especially in the summer, since the building has no elevator.

It was quiet and convenient, about a ten-minute walk from Hiroshima's main streets. The apartment was very spacious, with a furnished kitchen and really comfortable beds.

The room itself was clean, but staying warm was a problem. The air conditioner was badly placed and didn't heat the room at all, and the nylon rug in the middle of the Japanese-Western style room felt cold. Indoor socks were essential. I chose the hotel for its kitchen, washing machine, microwave and other facilities, but using them wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. The dishes were all large, so I had to buy bowls. There was a rice cooker but no measuring cup, which meant another trip to buy one. I also posted this complaint on Jalan, but the review was deleted.
