Casa Viento Stay Inn

The location worked well for us, with a commuter station, shops, and places to eat nearby. We were also able to leave our luggage on the first floor, except for the extra room upstairs, which was on the fourth or fifth floor and free of charge. We arrived late with groceries for dinner, only to find no stove or cookware, despite the description. The sheets were clean, but the futons didn’t seem quite right, there was some dust around, and the two rooms turned out to be one large room split by blinds. We were a family, so we made do for the first night. After we told management what was wrong, they responded well: the next day they brought a stove and dishes, and arranged an extra room upstairs for the men. They also paid for us to do laundry outside the building, since the washer had apparently been taken away for repairs or something. The stay wasn't good at first, but we appreciated how they handled our concerns.

The apartment was so dirty that we ended up using a different toilet and shower. There was a used razor on the shower floor, dirty water in the tub, and crusted grime in the toilet. I found hairs on the kitchen sponge, table, sleeping mats, and toilet. The shower was disgusting, and only one area had a heater, leaving the rest of the place cold. It's a shame, since it's next to a train station just two stops from Hiroshima station.

We had a bunk bed room with its own shower and kitchenette, and it was better than I expected. It was clean and quiet, especially good for the price, and I'd stay there again. The hostel is in a convenient spot beside the yokogawa station, so it's easy to find when you arrive. To get the key, go in through the ground-floor door and check the post boxes for one with your name on it.

Good price and a nice hostel, but the traffic light noise drove me crazy. Couldn't sleep 🥲
