I was traveling alone and arrived at 9 PM without a reservation. The staff were kind and polite, and I got a non-smoking room on the fifth floor. The room itself was fine, with clean linens and a clean unit bathroom, though the hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The pipes made a gurgling noise when I flushed, but I couldn’t hear it from other rooms. I wore slippers and shoes, so the carpet wasn’t an issue. There are no outlets beside the bed, so plan ahead if you need to charge anything. I’d hoped to spend the night at an internet cafe before seeing the nemophila flowers, but I’d forgotten my ID and felt stuck. I came across this place after seeing reviews that said it was usually available. The staff’s kindness really touched me. I took a bath at night and another in the morning, and the nearby train tracks added to the travel atmosphere with their sound and view. It’s close to the station, inexpensive, and convenient when you need a room on the spur of the moment.

The room is simply furnished and has the usual hotel amenities. I live in the countryside, where trains are less frequent, but their noise here didn’t really bother me. The bed was hard and not very comfortable. In the shower, the unusual shape helps keep water from splashing, but the strong ventilation fan pulls the curtain into the tub and makes washing difficult. There was a little mold on the curtains, though I could tolerate it. Seems like a decent option when you suddenly need somewhere to stay.

I checked for a room on the afternoon of the first day of the three-day weekend and booked a double. For 9,000 yen, I got a spacious, clean twin room. The building is older, so it wasn’t in pristine condition. The station is close, access is great, and parking is free.

For a work trip, this was enough for me. The price is still relatively low, even with accommodation costs rising unnecessarily these days. The linens were clean, the basics were there, and I slept well.

If your main concerns are the low price, station access, and free parking, it may be worth considering. But the age of the building shows in stains and signs of mold, and being beside the station means a fair amount of noise when trains are running. There was a small fridge, but for some reason my frozen food thawed. Hot water in the bathroom was fine, though the drainage in my room was pretty bad. The toilet is Western-style but has no washlet, so people with sensitive bottoms should keep that in mind. As others have said, it feels like you get what you pay for.
