Hotel Sawaya

I booked by phone because the hotel website only listed plans without meals, and asked them to include dinner. The Magokoro pork steak was delicious, as were the vegetables, which tasted local. This time I had a Western-style twin room instead of the Japanese-style room I’d had before. The toilets and other amenities have been renovated, and the room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. I’ll use it again when I take part in this event.

Everything felt new and very clean. I was really satisfied with the hotel.

The meat and fish at both dinner and breakfast were cooked just right, and tasted great. I stayed one night in a Japanese-style room. It may be an older place, but it’s thoughtfully laid out, with extension cords and signs all around showing attention to detail. The staff were kind, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. There’s a 7-Eleven and Fujiya nearby, so we were able to put together a small birthday celebration in our room ^^ I’m grateful, and would stay again if I get the chance. Thank you!

My only real gripe was the early check-in cutoff. Since I was using it as a business hotel before work the next day, getting there by 9 p.m. was out of the question. The stay itself felt more like a traditional inn, though, and was very comfortable. The bath and toilet are separate, and the room was about twice the size of business hotel rooms in the city center. The building has a retro Showa-era look, while the renovated rooms are sparkling and modern. Breakfast was tasty, especially the egg over rice. And there was a grand piano in the second-floor lounge that I was allowed to play. ☆ I was so happy!
