Our two nights at this lovely pension became some of the best memories of my trip. The hosts were so friendly and always tried to make everyone comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were great each time, and the local wine and beer went really well with dinner. For a warm welcome and time to fully relax, Blue in Green is a lovely place to stay. :)

Set right into the Japanese mountainside, this place was perfect. The owners were truly one of a kind and so kind to a random American traveler. Each night’s included dinner was freshly cooked, with five courses that were superbly balanced. 🙏🏻

The house is tidy, and I really liked the meadow right in front of it.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the owners are friendly. The rooms are relaxing, and I feel happy every time I stay here. For more than 20 years, this has been my family’s one and only place to stay in Kiyosato. It’s quiet and peaceful, and I always arrive with that feeling of coming home.
