Guesthouse Machikado - Hostel

Really liked this hostel. It was very clean and affordable, and the owner was nice. There's covered bicycle parking, and a supermarket very close by. The kitchen was useful, even with a tiny oven/toaster. Laundry cost 200 yens, and there was also a drying machine. The common areas were biiiig.

The wifi worked well, and the guesthouse was clean and spacious throughout. Staff were friendly and professional. It's not too far from the train station, and there are free bicycles. Definitely a good place to stay if you're visiting Ibusuki.

I had a comfortable, homely stay while climbing Mount Kaimondake. The private room was spacious, warm, and clean, and the kitchen and shared areas were roomy, quiet, and cosy. The reception staff member, Gyoma ??, was very kind, helpful, and welcoming. It seemed to suit all sorts of guests, including fathers and sons, older couples, and solo travelers. I'd recommend this hostel for a simple night. Enjoy!

A pretty good guesthouse. It was very quiet while I was there, which I appreciated. I didn't use the huge common room, but it was nice to have. The beds were comfortable and big enough, and the curtains blocked out the light well, so sleeping was easy.
